Anthony Cipriano is a writer and producer best known for his work on Bates Motel.


Early Work

He began his career in the late 1990s working on the Nickelodeon sci-fi comedy series The Jouney of Allen Strange.  He also served as a writer on the TV shows The Jersey and Skate.  He also wrote an episode of the TV series 100 Deeds for Eddie McDowd and in 2005 wrote the feature film, 12 and Holding.

Recent Work

Co-developed the TV series Bates Motel, a prequel to the 1960 Hitchcock film Psycho alongside Carlton Cuse and Kerry Ehrin. He drafted the original script for the show. The series premiered on A&E in March 2013 and ended its run in April 2017 after five seasons.  It was the highest-rated original scripted show for the network throughout its entire run.
