Career[]
He made his acting debut in the 2002 television series Jeremiah. He has acted in several TV movies and TV episodes before he joined the cast of the show The 100, originally as a recurring role for the first two seasons before being promoted to a series regular for Season 3. From 2011 to 2012, he appeared in the US drama series The Killing, a remake of Danish show Forbrydelsen.

Richard is a fan of American football, especially the Notre Dame Fighting Irish football team. He also is a fan of the television show SpongeBob SquarePants. He is the brother of actress Jessica Harmon. He is a fan of Bob Dylan and The Rolling Stones.
His parents are director Allan Harmon and producer Cynde Harmon.
