Season 3[]
Worried about her son Norman Bates, Norma went to view the Pineview Institute and met with Vicki. She informed Vicki that she and Norman were very close and Vicki reassured her that she would be able to visit him whenever she liked. Vicki also informed her that the full treatment would cost in excess of $20,000, which was out of Norma's price range. (Unconscious)
Season 4[]
Norma returned to the Pineview Institute, determined to get Norman the help he needed but Vicki told her that there was a long waiting list and that Norman would need a doctor's diagnosis in order to be admitted. (A Danger to Himself and Others)
Romero paid a visit to Pineview and Vicki told him about the long waiting list. He offered her money to have Norman admitted and she asked him what his relation to Norman was. Romero said he was marrying Norma and therefore would become his stepfather. (Goodnight, Mother)
After Norman told Norma that he would be coming home, he went to see Vicki to ask how he would go about signing himself out. She told him that would require written permission in the form of a letter and she said that Romero, being his stepfather, had told her to put Norman on his insurance for three months.
